Accessibility Statement

PassportCard sees  the utmost importance in providing appropriate and high-quality service to the public, including people with disabilities. To this end, the company invests great efforts and resources in making the necessary adjustments in the company’s various service channels, while constantly striving to improve the user experience and provide quality and accessible service to all.

The following is a breakdown of  the company’s existing accessibility arrangements:

A. Accessibility on the Website

The website has been made accessible to people with disabilities in accordance with the accessibility guidelines in the Israeli Standard 5568 – “Guidelines for the Accessibility of Content on the Internet”, to the AA level

This Israeli standard is identical to the Guidelines of the International Organization for Web Standardization  – Web Content Accessibility (Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

It is important to note that despite our efforts to make all pages on the site accessible, there may be parts or capabilities on the site that have not yet been made accessible, all subject to the terms of use of the various software used.

  • The tests were tested for the highest compatibility for the Chrome browser.
  • The site provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports the usual usage pattern for keyboard operation using the arrow keys, Enter and Esc to exit menus and windows.
  • Optimized for viewing in common browsers and for use on a mobile phone.
  • For the best browsing experience with screen reading software, we recommend using  the latest NVDA software  .
  • Documents or videos uploaded to the site before October 2017 may not be fully accessible. If you come across such a document or video, you can contact an accessibility coordinator and we will make sure to make the information accessible to you.
  • Providing information in an accessible format – The company provides its customers with the option of receiving information in accessible formats. The information is provided free of charge and is intended for people with disabilities. For inquiries and information regarding accessibility, please contact the company’s accessibility coordinator, whose details appear later in the statement.
  •  Accessibility testing and consulting was carried out by the A2Z Accessibility and Digital Marketing  Group

How does accessibility work on the site?

Navigation of the site: The site is divided into central content areas using headings. The site can be navigated using the mouse, and it is also possible to navigate forward using the  TAB button, with a choice made possible by using the  Enter button,  and backward navigation is possible by combining the  SHIFT + TAB keys.

Assistive Technologies Support: Broad support for assistive technologies by using ARIA rules.

Also, support for NVDA  screen reader software for Windows users and Mac  OS X.

Online forms: Broad support for making “Contact Us” forms accessible subject to the terms of use and compatibility with assistive technologies. For example: support for reading errors by screen reader software.

Videos – Videos embedded on the site include Hebrew subtitles.

Accessibility Menu: The menu is located on the right side of the screen. Clicking on the menu with your mouse or navigating with the TAB allows  you to open the accessibility buttons.

Choose from the menu according to customization. To close the menu, click on the “Cancel Accessibility” button by clicking on the mouse, or by navigating with  the TAB and pressing Enter.

The menu allows you to choose the following adjustments :

  • Change color contrast: You can brighten or darken the background as needed.
  • Cancel Colors – You can move the site’s view to Monochrome.
  • Option to cancel animations and flickers.
  • Change the font size: You can make the text larger or smaller.
  • Disable Accessibility button and return to normal view.

B. Accessibility through additional service channels:

  1. Call Router at Call Centers – The call routing system without background music and at a slow pace of speech.
  2. Vending machines for issuing tickets – the machines located in Terminal 3 and Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport are accessible according to the Israeli standard SI 1918.
  3. Providing information through other means of communication – In addition to call centers, you can contact other channels for information:
