PassportCard places the utmost importance on providing appropriate and high-quality service to the entire public, including people with disabilities. To this end, the company invests significant efforts and resources in making the necessary adjustments across its various service channels, with a continuous commitment to improving the user experience and ensuring accessible and quality service for all.
Below is a detailed overview of the accessibility arrangements in place at the company:
A. Website Accessibility
The website has been made accessible to people with disabilities using a component developed specifically for PassportCard, in accordance with the accessibility guidelines of Israeli Standard 5568 – “Guidelines for Web Content Accessibility,” Level AA.
(This Israeli standard is identical to the international WCAG 2.0 – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.)
It is important to note that despite our efforts to make all pages on the site accessible, some parts or features may not yet be fully accessible, subject to the limitations of the software used.

How does the website accessibility work?
- Site Navigation: The site is divided into main content areas using headings. Navigation is possible via mouse or keyboard:
– Forward navigation: TAB
– Selection: Enter
– Backward navigation: SHIFT + TAB
- Assistive Technology Support: Broad support for assistive technologies using ARIA rules.
- Screen Reader Support: Compatible with NVDA for Windows and Mac OS X screen readers.
- Online Forms: Contact forms are accessible and compatible with assistive technologies, including screen reader error announcements.
- Videos: Embedded videos include Hebrew subtitles.
- Accessibility Menu: Located on the right side of the screen. It can be opened using the mouse or TAB key.
– To close the menu, click “Disable Accessibility” or navigate with TAB and press Enter.
Menu options include:
- Change color contrast (lighten/darken background)
- Remove colors (monochrome view)
- Disable animations and flashing
- Adjust font size (increase/decrease)
- Return to default view
B. Accessibility in Other Service Channels
- Call Center IVR: No background music and slow speech rate.
- Self-service Card Issuing Machines: Located at Terminals 1 and 3 at Ben Gurion Airport, accessible per Israeli Standard 1918.
